To prepare for this journey, we need you to begin reading the AP World History text. We have

approximately 28 weeks during the school year to cover 40 chapters of the text. Covering some of the

text over the summer allows us to fOCllS on weightier issues during the year. You'll find that much of

the information is review, since you will have covered all of the material, in a somewhat different

fashion, in grades 6, 7, and 9.

In addition, you will begin to take notes and answer questions about the text information that will lead

you to understand better the nature of the course and the exam you will take in May.

Need some extra help in your Algebra or Geometry class? Try online math videos!

If you are using a Holt textbook, you have access to a wealth of wonderful material online.

Certainly reading the examples in the book is a great first step. However, some students benefit greatly from watching the online videos. This is especially true when you are absent.
