Scholarship Information PDF Print E-mail

There are many scholarships that are available to all students grades 9-12.  The Counseling Department encourages all of you to research the available scholarships as there is a tremendous amount of money available to those who apply.  One highly recommended scholarship website is www.fastweb.com.  In addition to searching over $1 billion in scholarships, it provides tips and advice on how to recognize fraudulent scholarship scams.  Other websites include, www.maldef.org/education/scholarships which lists various scholarships with specific ethnic and career interest requirements, www.yfa-usa.org for information on Youth for Understanding, a study abroad program, and their scholarship opportunities, www.anycollege.net which is a free online directory that lists more than 5,500 accredited colleges and universities along with their scholarship opportunities, as well as www.scholarships.com.

The student aid applications for the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara and the Santa  Barbara Foundation are in the Counseling Office.  There is on application for applying to both the large scholarship program and the loan program.  They specifically offer help for those interested in architecture, construction management, health care, and aid for Hispanic/Latinos to name a few.  These organizations are incredibly generous to many of our students in the Santa Barbara area and well worth the effort in applying.

Below is a list of current scholarships and their deadlines.  You will also notice specific schools that are offering scholarships.  You are encouraged to visit their websites for more information.  Please see Jane Tucker in the Counseling office for applications to these scholarships, or visit the websites for more information.
